Cerebral blood flow is reduced in ME/CFS during head-up tilt testing even in the absence of hypotension or tachycardia: A quantitative, controlled study using Doppler echography

van Campen CLMC, Verheugt FWA, Rowe PC, et al. · Clinical Neurophysiology Practice · 2020

Brain blood flow fell much more on tilt in patients than in healthy controls, even with normal heart rate and blood pressure, but without inactive or ill controls or a correction for over-breathing, the claims about cause and diagnosis go beyond the data.

ADDRESS-LC: phase 2 trial of bezisterim for neurological symptoms of long COVID (topline results)

BioVie Inc. · Company press release and investor presentation · 2026

Bezisterim did not clearly beat placebo on any of 22 measures across the whole trial; the reported benefits come from unadjusted, selectively shown subgroups, so they are a hypothesis for a new trial, not evidence the drug works.

No measure improved clearly in the whole trialBenefits only in subgroups, uncorrected for many testsRandomised, blinded, placebo-controlled, 203 patients
